How to Do an Egg Cleansing

In today’s article, I will be writing about the steps on how to do an egg cleanse. An egg cleanse is very simple, but extremely effective in removing evil and negativity from the person receiving the cleanse. The belief of the egg cleanse was essential during the Transatlantic Slave trade which was during the 17th century, and this was during the time of hoodoo and rootwork when Africans who were brought over from Africa had to hide their spiritual practices, so hiding their spiritual practices, and also learning more herbal information from the natives in the United States. The spiritual practice of hoodoo grew and expanded, and with this expansion came resourcefulness. A common way to remove evil spirits from a person would be to pass a black chicken over the individual for the black chicken to absorb all of the evil and blockages that were set on the person. However, during the Transatlantic slave trade, the slaves who were brought here to the United States did not have a lot of resources, so instead of using chickens to remove evil, they used something that was more accessible, which was the egg. So we have it today by using eggs as a form of cleansing. Now, I will discuss the materials you need and the steps for cleansing.

Ingredients:

First, you are going to need an egg, a glass of room-temperature water, and salt. 

Next, starting off with this work, you will need the egg to be at room temperature. Then, you start off rubbing the egg from the top of your head all the way to the bottom of your feet, while you are doing this, you will want to recite the ‘Lord’s Prayer’, if you do not know the prayer, I will insert it here: 

“Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done; on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen” 

Now, I know people who may be reading this might not be comfortable with reciting a traditional Christian prayer, but I would implore you to look at this only as a step for cleansing yourself. Personally, I would take any gripes with religion out of this cleansing ritual. That was a little caveat I felt that I needed to put in this article, so going back into the ritual. When you are rubbing the egg around you and your body, you will recite this prayer until you have concluded with the cleansing. Once you are done rubbing the egg around your body, you will then get a glass of room-temperature water. You will break the egg into the water, but DO NOT LOOK DIRECTLY INTO THE WATER; this will negate the cleansing, and your efforts will be for naught. So, you cracked the egg into the glass of water and you look at the glass from the side. You should feel lighter from the cleansing. Now you are going to want to wait for at least 20 minutes to see if any shapes have formed in the glass. From here, you can see the evil that you have removed. Here are some examples: if you see any animal shapes, that means someone has sent negative energies towards you, or if you see bubbles at the top, that means secret enemies. There are many other signs of egg cleanses, which I could write a whole other article about, but not today. 

Finally, when you see what you removed, you will now want to take the salt and throw it into the glass with the egg to destroy the evil. From this point, you are going to throw the mixture away either in the toilet and flush or you can dump it outside so these negative forces cannot come back to harm you.
