Hello everyone reading this article, I am going to talk about cleansing. This article is not only going to be about cleansing, but I will talk about the simplest to the most complex cleansings. Cleansings are a spiritual process of alleviation that is used to remove any evil energy, spirit, or negative things. Spiritual cleansing has been used for centuries by many different groups of people and different cultures. However, in this article, I am going to talk about the spiritual cleansings of Hoodoo workers and of African spiritual cleansings. I want the reader of this article to have a spiritual cleansing routine to add to their spiritual practice. So, I will start from the easiest cleansings that everyone can do, and through the article, I will move to more complex methods that you can try to do, but I will caution you to ensure that you are protecting yourself.

Fasting and Prayer

Fasting and prayer are some of the simplest things that you can do, but they can be effective methods of cleansing. In the Bible, in Matthew 4:1-11, when Jesus went into the desert for 40 days and nights, he went without eating or drinking anything to get closer to God, and to begin the start of his ministry in the Catholic church. Fasting and prayer are great ways to be closer to God, and if you have a special and urgent request, fasting and prayer are great ways to increase the likelihood of you getting your petition being answered. Also, fasting and prayer are forms of cleansing as well because you are not putting potentially negative things inside of your body. 

Sage/Incense/ Palo Santo

Using either of these three sage sticks may seem small, but it has a powerful effect on removing negativity from your body, spirit, and aura. This method is simple, but it is effective if you need to do something in the interim. The way you are cleansing is through the smoke, and the special properties that the incense has. White sage neutralizes and removes all energies, good or bad. Palo santo removes negative energies and brings in positive energy.

Egg Cleanse

This method is very powerful, and it is not complicated to do at all. Spiritually, people would normally pass a chicken over themselves for the chicken to absorb all of the negative energy, then the spiritual practitioner would kill the chicken. However, today in the modern day, sacrificing a chicken can cause a lot of trouble with the authorities. This was a hoodoo practice that people would do to remove evil. During the Trans-Atlantic slave trade, the ancestors would take the eggs that they had access to, and they would pass the egg over the person afflicted, and once the cleansing was done, they would bury the egg or send it down a river or creek. This method of cleansing has been used by many different cultures. The best way to do the egg cleanse is to take an egg that is room temperature, and you will rub it all over yourself. While doing this, you will want to say the Lord’s Prayer for the entire duration of the cleansing. Once you have rubbed the egg over all of your body, you will throw the egg away. Some people will crack the egg in a glass to see what they were afflicted with. 

Spiritual Cleansing Bath 

This is a simple cleansing, but it is very effective, and depending on the situation, this cleansing ritual could be powerful if you need to enhance it. So, to start off, a spiritual cleansing bath can be simple; for example, you can use three items to create your bath, like Holy Water, Hyssop, and Lime. Also, you can use ingredients with an odd number of items in it. Spiritual cleansing baths can be as simple as taking one bath and being done, but it can be more detailed by doing a multi-day bath. The length of the days that you are taking a spiritual cleansing bath is related to the extent of the cleansing that you need. If you have a large amount of negative energies, then you will have to take a bath for 5,7,9, or 13 days to completely remove the evil from you. 

House cleansing

This is a method of cleansing when you feel that your space has had evil or negative energies in it. For everyone, their house/space is their sanctuary, where they should be able to come to so they can unwind and decompress from their work days. However, if there is evil and you need to do a cleansing, then there are a lot of things that you will be able to do. For example, you can use the Sage/ Palo Santo, which I stated earlier, can clear your house. Also, there is another method you can do, which involves using a coconut and cascarilla. However, if there is an evil entity that is stronger, then your best course of action would be to seek out a member of the Catholic Church, and get a priest who can bless a house or even exorcise a house too. Also, if you look it up online, you can get a Saint Michael the Archangel house blessing prayer. 

Exorcism 

This is the last method of cleansing, which is only for emergency situations. The process of an exorcism is or can be defined as: “ a ritual or practice, most commonly associated with religious traditions, intended to cast out or ward off evil spirits or demons believed to possess individuals, places, or objects.” This is one of the most powerful forms of cleansing, and exorcisms cannot be done readily. You will need to gather substantial evidence to give to the Catholic Church, and there will be an assessment done to ensure that the person who is possessed is not suffering from any mental or psychological illness. Once this is done, the church will send a trained priest who is experienced in exorcism. The priest will commence the exorcism on behalf of the possessed person. This method of cleansing is one of the most powerful and is highly effective in removing demons and evil spirits from the person who is afflicted with evil. However, exorcisms are an intense practice, and there have been people who have died when removing evil spirits from a person. 

In conclusion, this is not a concrete list; there are many different cleansings from different cultures that are highly effective, which you can research on your own. I have compiled this list to give the reader information so that they can use these healings to help themselves or others who have been plagued with negativity in their lives. Hello, everyone reading this article. I will be talking about working with the spirits to empower your work.

First, you need to know it's essential to build a relationship with the spirit you are trying to invoke, so your petitions will be heard and answered. Normally, when people start working with spirits, they think that this is easy to do; however, you need to give an offering to pay the spirit for the work that you would need them to do. So, I would start off with researching what the offering is that the spirit is receptive to, then I would get the offering and just talk to the spirit, and let them know who you are.

Whatever the reason, it is important to know the steps it will take to build a good relationship with a spirit. So, for starters, I determine which is the right spirit to work with. For me, I like to work with various saints, such as Saint Michael, Saint Expedite, Saint Anthony, and Saint Cyprian. There are plenty more spirits that you can choose to work with, and you don’t need to choose only saints in the Catholic church. There are other spirits, such as the 7 African Powers, like Ogun, who is a Yoruba deity or Orisha of Justice, war, iron, and metal work. You can go to the Hindu religion, and ask the intercession of Lord Ganesha, who is an elephant-headed god, and is known for removing obstacles. The point is, there are many different types of spirits you can choose to work with. 

Next, once you choose to work with a spirit, you are going to figure out what the best offering to give to a spirit is. Doing research is one of the best ways to find out what it is that the spirit wants. Next, once you find out what the spirit wants, you will then acquire what it is that they want, and then you are going to create a space for the spirit. You can do this by using your altar and creating a small space for the spirit you wish to work with. Now, this is a very important fact: during your first interaction with the spirit of your choice, you are going to want to only talk to the spirit and introduce yourself to the spirit. You will tell them your name, likes and dislikes, and everything else that you feel is important to you. This is going to be your first action: to get to know the spirit and introduce yourself to them. Another important factor is having a set schedule to commune with the spirit; this will establish a stronger relationship. After a while doing this for about 2 to 3 weeks, if you want to begin working with the spirit, you can now ask the spirit to help out with any type of spiritual work, or ask for their assistance.

How to know & How to Spiritually Cleanse a House (Storytime)

Hello to everyone who is reading this article. I am going to discuss the time when a house that I was living in was haunted. I am also going to talk about the proper procedure for cleansing a haunted house, and to understand if the task is too big, and when it would be time to consult a specialist. 

Background 

So, this was a story from when I was a child and I was living in California. When I was a kid, there was a man who was not too friendly to me or my family, and even our neighbors would ask us questions about seeing a car that was located near our house during the night, which wasn't ours. There would be weird things that happened, for example, there would be a sudden influx of ants that were in the house, seemingly all of the time. Also, it felt like there was another person in the house, external to my family, who was in the house. There were many more things that had happened, which were a cause for concern. So, with the article, I will talk to you about the signs of what happened and the external factors that played a role in determining how to know if someone is cursing or hexing you. 

To start, there was an occasion when our front door had blood on it. We do not know what type of blood was on the door, but we assumed it was chicken blood that was on the door, and that is a common ingredient for witchcraft and evil work against an enemy. This was found in the early morning, and what we had to do was clean the door of any evil that was sent to us. For this, we had to use Ammonia and Turpentine to remove any spiritual effects as well as clean blood, which is not sanitary. This was a trap that was laid because the perpetrator wanted my family and me to step into the blood to be affected by the witchcraft that they laid for us. This would have left the victim of this attack to receive a slew of bad luck and other negative spiritual effects. This was not the only thing that was done to my family and me; more things were done, which caused a lot of spiritual attacks and blockages. 

There was also a time when this enemy buried an evil charm in the backyard, and this was done to be a beacon for evil spirits to come into the house and invade the area. This spell was not meant to be detected, and for the evil to be continuous. However, this was not the case; it was my grandmother who found the item, which was in the backyard, and said that she had a dream of the event happening by the enemy. When she told us this, I was made to go pick up the trap and remove it, so my grandmother would be able to cleanse it and dispose of it. I went to the backyard to remove it, and the next day I got sick. I had a horrible stomach ache, which I was not able to determine where it came from, and I was sick all day. 

Methods of House Cleansing

I have shared with you a few of the stories of my experiences with witchcraft and haunting. Now, I will share with you the best methods of cleansing that can be implemented to clear out evil and negative spirits in your house. First, if you feel like there is a spirit in your house, or if there are negative energies that are causing issues, I will teach you the best methods to use. So, if you detect a spirit in your house, what you can do is spray holy water in your house/apartment. What you are going to do is spray the holy water in all of the corners of your house, and you will make the sign of the cross to ensure that the evil entity leaves. If this does not work, I would make sure that you have enough spiritual knowledge to remove a spirit from your house. Next, if it is a stronger spirit then what you can do is to get a coconut, and rub cascarilla all over the coconut, then you are going to want to place the coconut on the ground and lightly kick the coconut around and do this so you are going all over the floor for each level of your house if you have multi-level house, and you are going to start from the top going all the way down. After you're done passing the coconut all over the floor, you will then take the coconut and take it far away from your house. You are going to want to go somewhere you normally don’t frequent. You will get to the location, then you will smash the coconut. From that point, you are going to walk away without looking back at the coconut. This will remove all of the evil that has been in your house. Finally, there are two more things you can do to cleanse your space. 

One, you can use a floor wash to cleanse your space. There are many different floor washes. For example, there are floor washes for money, luck, love, and also to remove evil from the home. So, I would get a floor wash to remove evil, and if you need to, you can get something with pine in it, because pine is good for cleansing. The next and last thing you can do is smudge your house. If you want to, you can use white sage, which people have misconceptions about. Normally, people think white sage removes negative energies, but really, white sage neutralizes all energies, good and bad, so it's important to keep that in mind. Palo Santo is holy wood, and what Palo Santo does is remove all negativity and bring in positivity. So, these are some of the options you have for cleansing your place; this list is not exhaustive. If you feel like you cannot cleanse the house yourself and do not have the spiritual capability, then I would consult an expert spiritualist or a priest to cleanse or even exorcise your house. Southern Preparations to Bring in the New Year

Hello everyone. Today, I will discuss the traditions and customs you can do to bring success and prosperity in for the New Year. I am going to start with a little story. So, when I was a child, from as early as I can remember, every New Year’s Eve I would help the family with preparing to bring the New Year in with traditions to bring prosperity and success.

First, one of the things that my family and I would do on New Year’s Eve is clean the house. Cleaning the house was very important because you have to clean out all of the negativity from the house, and we would clean from the top all the way to the bottom, and we would clean from back to front. 

Spiritual Cleansing Bath 

Next, you want to keep all of the dirt at the front of the door, so you can sweep it out when the clock strikes twelve. Sweeping out the dirt clears out your home of blockages and stagnation. Then, you want to get some powdered cinnamon and place it in your right hand. You will blow the cinnamon in your house to bring in money and prosperity. Another thing is clothes, with my family and the traditions that we have, is to wear the color red. For me, wearing the color red is very beneficial. For anyone who wants to start the New Year strong, wear red clothing. Red is the color of prosperity and strength.

Something else that we do is take a spiritual cleaning bath on New Year's Eve to come into the New Year with positive energies and to be cleansed from all the things that were dragging us down from the prior year. This is everything that I would do beforehand on New Year’s Eve to complete all of these rituals. Now, for New Year’s Day, there is still more work to do. For starters, having money in your wallet/purse is so important because you want to bring money with you for New Year's. Also, some people believe this, and I am one of these people too; it's the belief that you want to do things that you would normally do that will reflect how you spend the entire year. So, on the actual day of New Year's, I don’t like to do heavy cleaning because I would have completed this on New Year’s Eve. 

Money Drawing Candle 

So, I normally do a light cleaning, but I try to keep it light for the day. After the light cleaning, what I do is I start a candle for money on my spiritual altar, so I will be able to bring more money in for the year. The candle spell that I do is very simple; it is normally a green glass candle with money drawing oil placed on and in the candle. I light the candle and then say the 23rd Psalm, which is a catch-all prayer, but it is very good for money drawing. Then, after my candle ritual, what I do is I start to prepare dinner, and this is very important because in Hoodoo/rootwork/conjure, something that you want to do is eat something yellow, green, and also black-eyed peas. I will explain that eating something yellow symbolizes prosperity and good health, eating something green will be for money and increased prosperity, and the black-eyed peas are for luck. These food items are traditional items that our ancestors ate during the New Year as a sense of tradition and also to bring in more prosperity. 

So these are all of the steps I take to get ready for New Year’s Day; these are the steps I take to be able to eliminate evil and blockages and also to bring prosperity into my life for the year. I hope these tips will help you on your journey of hoodoo/rootwork and conjure.

How to Know when you are being Spritually Attacked (Storytime)

Hello, in this article, I am going to talk about an experience that I went through involving being spiritually blocked.

This article is going to be chock-full of information and tips you can use if you see any signs yourself. Starting off, this event occurred years ago, and I was personally going through a lot of issues, but I did not look for the signs at first. Some things I noticed in my life, there was a lot more resistance than normal, but I didn’t notice it, I was trying to power through it the normal way.

Spirituality and magic are very real, but so is mental illness. I am not saying this to be rude, but I have personally seen this where a person who has struggled with mental illness believes it is spiritually related. Thank you for reading this. One of the most common signs of spiritual blockage is losing items. I don’t mean you misplaced your keys, or maybe you can’t find your wallet. No, what I mean is you are constantly misplacing things, and it’s happening at a frequent rate. Losing items was something I noticed, and personally, I am not a person who misplaces things; I have designated places for all of my items because I don’t want to lose them. Nevertheless, a lot of my items just seemed to go missing, which was pretty annoying, but even though this was happening, I didn't suspect anything just yet; I thought it was a string of bad luck.

Next, and this is a big sign. Everything I tried to do there would be a setback, or I just wouldn’t be able to do it. This would happen for many things, like trying to schedule a doctor's appointment. It would take 11 calls to 11 different doctors just to get an appointment; other things would happen, I would break cups, plates, and glasses. This wouldn’t happen out of nowhere; the number of times I or someone else had broken a glass or plate was astounding. But even then, I still assumed there was nothing wrong. I would also like to mention that I was not doing my readings; I felt like something was off, but I was reluctant to check. 

The duration of this was about a month, but it was a noticeable difference from the previous month that I had. Another important sign of spiritual attack was my energy level. Normally, I am a person who has a healthy level of energy each day, after work, and during personal obligations. Regularly, I still feel energized and ready for anything, but during this month, I was constantly tired and sleepy, which is not common for me. The reason for being sleepy was because I was waking up in the middle of the night consistently. Normally, I am a person who goes to sleep and will stay asleep until I wake up after 6 or 7 hours of sleep, but during this time, I was waking up at 2, sometimes 3 in the morning for no reason, and it would be difficult to go back to sleep. Also, sleep paralysis was a big factor, too, which can be an indication of a spiritual attack.

So, with all of this information, what did I do? At first, I gave myself a reading because I knew something was going on, but all this time, I was just passing it off as bad luck. I knew a person who was rather close to me who had an issue with me, and they are a spiritual practitioner too. However, I never in my wildest dreams would think that they could do something like that, by doing evil spiritual work against me. Anyway, I had to take action after I gave myself a reading. But I wanted to confirm this, so I got another reading (a pro tip for all of you beginning workers, if you feel like you are being spiritually attacked, getting a reading from someone else can help you to understand what is going on from a different perspective). Then, after my reading and the other spiritualist confirmed it was true that I was being spiritually attacked, I got to work. First, I did an egg cleanse to take negativity off of me, and then I made a spiritual cleansing bath. I made it to take for 3 days in a row because the spiritual attack was fairly strong, and I did some spiritual work for protection. It was a white glass candle with protection oil on it, with my petition written on brown paper bag, and a special seal that was critical for this moment. After that, I did a reversal work to send back whatever was sent to me, it was effective, but had I noticed the signs earlier, I could have done this ahead of time. I hope my story will remind people who have read this article to always keep up with their spiritual protections. The 3 essential herbs for beginners in hoodoo/conjure

Hello, in this article, I will be writing about 3 of the most important herbs you will need when beginning this work in Hoodoo. First, I will explain why herbs/roots are so important in spiritual work. The spiritual practice of Hoodoo has a belief in ‘animism,’ which is the belief that everything has a spirit or energy. So, when the root man/woman is working the root, they are communicating with the root and telling the root what they want it to do. This practice has been with African Americans from Africa all the way to the United States during the Trans-Atlantic slave trade. Now, in the modern day, herbs are still an essential part of the practice. Herbs have power, and when you are starting this practice, you need to know how to work them.

John the Conqueror Root 

So, now that you know this information. I will discuss the 3 essential herbs for beginners to use. The first and most famous root would be John the Conqueror root, which is a staple in hoodoo and is a very powerful root. There are many uses for this root, such as overcoming problems and protection. It's good for boosting personal power. There is no shortage of things you can do; you want to use this root to its full potential. There are many stories about the origin of John the Conqueror. I will give a short synopsis of the story I was told when I was younger. The story goes that there was once a King in Africa who was sold into slavery, and then he was sent to the United States. Even though the King was sold into slavery, no matter what the slave owners did, it would not faze John. However, one day, John was talking to a nice young lady, and he fancied her, but later, he realized that she was the daughter of the devil. When the devil found out about this, he tried to kill John. The devil had John go through a series of challenges, and if John was successful, he would be able to marry his daughter. All of the trials were impossible, but through the help of the devil’s daughter and John's quick wit, he was able to pass the trials. However, upon completing the tasks, the devil still intended to kill John, so John and the devil's daughter escaped, but before leaving the United States and going back to Africa, John left some of his power in the root we now know as John the Conqueror Root to help the people who were still enslaved. That is one of many versions of how the root of John gained its power. So, the story aside, this root is integral for virtually all practitioners of hoodoo/conjure. You can do a lot with this root, and it will help in pretty much any aspect of your spiritual work. 

A Spiritual Bath with Hyssop

The next herb is Hyssop. This herb has been named in Psalm 51, and this herb has been stated to cleanse and make oneself completely clean from all spiritual negativity. Hyssop is a wonderful herb that is used for cleansing, healing, and restoration. If you wanted to, you could use only hyssop for a spiritual cleansing bath to get the effects of removing all evil, negativity, hexes, and jinxes off of you. This is one of the most powerful herbs for protection and cleansing. This herb is a staple for cleansing baths for myself or for my clients. If you are not already using this herb, then you will want to stock up on it. 

The third herb is Cinnamon. I know people may be reading this and wonder, Why is cinnamon so important. Also, cinnamon is not an herb; it's a spice. However, there are many uses for cinnamon, and that is why I chose it, because of its versatility. Using cinnamon is good for a multitude of things. First and foremost, cinnamon is used for money. When I was younger, my grandmother was the person who informed me about the uses of cinnamon; she would tell me to put pieces of cinnamon sticks in my wallet, and that would bring money to me. So when she told me this, I started to do it, and from there, I would see instances of money coming to me randomly, or there would be an increase in opportunities for money coming to me. Also, you can use cinnamon for a lot of different work, for example, love workings, cinnamon is very good for that and is one of the key ingredients for any type of love work. Using divination in spiritual work

Hello everyone, today I will talk about using divination in spiritual work. Divination comes in many different forms. You can have prophetic dreams, you can hear messages from spirit, or you can use items such as chamalongos, cowrie shells, playing cards, or tarot cards. All of these items you can use to receive messages from your ancestors, or the spirits who are with you for your protection. If you are using any of these tools that I have listed to receive messages from your ancestors or spiritual guides, these are great conduits to receive messages. Many people think that you need to be psychic to be able to receive messages, but this is not the case. You use divination to receive messages and understand a situation or an event you may need clarity on. Now that we have clarification on why divination is important, the next step would be choosing the right divination tool for yourself.

I would say choose the divination tool that will be easy for you to work with. Personally, I use tarot cards and playing cards, and I also receive messages from dreams. I will go into a little anecdote of my experience with divination to show why you should focus on divination with your spiritual work. This event was years ago, and I was doing a setting of lights(candle work). I was creating a bath for my client, and this experience was different from other experiences because most people who come to me are not being spiritually attacked by a rogue spiritual worker. I want to keep the anonymity of my client, so for this story, I will call them Hank. Anyway, Hank was experiencing a lot of negativity in his life, and he felt like he couldn’t move forward with any of the endeavors that he tried to do.

When I heard this, what I did was use my tarot cards to get more information about the situation. What I noticed with the reading was, there was a person in his readings, but they were trying to shroud themselves from any detection. I continued to do my reading, and I asked my spirits for more information. However, what I discovered shocked me. My client's money, health, social life, and many other aspects were being affected, and everything that he was doing would not work out. With all of the information I had, and sidenote (by the way, a tip to increase psychic ability is praying Psalm 78 verses 1-4), after doing my tarot reading and getting the information that I needed. I started the work for my client, which was preparing a bath for him, also working a candle, and this was not just any ordinary candle, it's called a 21 root candle, which is used to uproot any and all negative workings and energies.

The 21 root candle is a powerful candle to use when you are experiencing negative spiritual attacks. So with this candle, the bath, and some other workings to send back what was thrown at my client, things in his life started to turn around for the better. Hank was starting to see better results, and I did a follow-up reading on the person in his life who was using spiritual work to curse him. What I discovered was that the return to sender work was successful, the worker was struggling with finances, and other things were happening to them. So, I share this story because I want everyone to understand the importance of divination along with your spiritual work. It is such an important tool when you need information about things that we can and cannot see.

The difference between Road Opening and Blockbusting

Hello, in this article, I will be talking about the differences between a road opening and a blockbusting work. With these two workings, many people believe they are the same thing, but this could not be further from the truth. The specific names are important because you need to know what you are doing and what type of work it will be. It's important to know that doing a specific work will bring about different effect on your life. 

So, what I am going to do is highlight the difference between the two works. I will start off with Road Opening. So, road opening work is a spiritual spell that is used to open the roads to potential opportunities, jobs, money, or love. Really, it’s any manner of opportunity or goals you are trying to achieve that are available to you. On the other hand, a Blockbusting work is normally used for removing obstacles, but in a forceful way. Blockbusting is used to remove all obstacles that are in your way; think of it as an extreme removal.

Now, I am going to describe two instances in which I have done both of these works, and by the end, I hope you will fully understand the difference between these two works. First, this was a few years ago, and I had a client who was recently having a rough go of life. So, to start off with the person I was working for, I did a spiritual reading for him. I believe that it is very important to do a spiritual reading when you are working for another person. I was doing this reading for my client, and through the reading, I did see the stagnation and blockage within the client's life. The blockage wasn’t evil or hoodoo thrown on them, but it was because of a buildup of negative energies surrounding him. Because I found the cause of the issue with my client, the best course of action for this individual was to do two things, the first is a spiritual cleansing bath to remove all of that negativity and the second thing was to do a road opening, to ensure their paths could be clear, and also they would be able to have success in any situation. The ritual I used a road opening candle and added road opening oil to the candle. Then I prayed Psalm 119:105 "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path" and Psalm 23:3 "He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the path of righteousness for his name's sake." This was an example of a road opening, and after the work was complete, my client felt a lot better, and they saw opportunities come their way to get ahead. Now, we are going to look at an example of blockbusting work and how that differs from road openings. 

This happened a few years ago. I got a request from a distressed client that they needed some help because everything they have been going through was bad, and no matter how much they have tried to improve their station in life, or their situation, nothing would work. So, I began my process that I always do, which is doing a spiritual reading for my client, so we would be able to see what is going on in their life. In the reading, I saw that there was more than a buildup of negative energies; what I saw was active blockages in his life. This was more than the normal spiritual buildup for the average person, who also, I might add, does not do any spiritual work. So I had to prescribe him something different. What I did was have my client take a powerful spiritual cleansing bath and a house cleansing. Also, I did a blockbusting work to make sure that he would be able to eliminate any issues that may arise in his life. Specifically, with the blockbusting work, what I had to do was a more powerful type of work to remove negativity from his life, and I used a blockbusting candle and special herbs to make that happen. I used a candle and added specific herbs, roots, and oils to the candle to see the desired result. Then I said a series of prayers and declarations and added words of power to the ritual. This ritual is a little more intense than the road opening, so I cannot go into detail about the specifics. It is important to know that blockbusting is far more aggressive in removing obstacles from your life. You can think of it as a far more aggressive form of road opening. 

So, in these instances you see the difference between road openings and blockbusting. It is paramount to be able to differentiate between the two if you are starting this journey. How to Communicate with your Ancestors

Hello, in this article, I am going to talk about being able to communicate with your ancestors. This is very important because your ancestral battery is important. You need your ancestors to empower your work and to receive messages. Plus, they are your first line of spiritual defense if there is anything plaguing you. There are many other important things that your ancestors do for you, but these are the most important and immediate. With all of that said, now that you know the importance of your ancestors. I am going to relay to you in this article how to communicate with your ancestors, to honor and be in communication with them, as well as increase the power of your workings. 

Starting, the first step in communicating with your ancestors is to choose the ancestors who loved you in life. I know this sounds strange, but it is important to choose an ancestor or a person in your family who, while they were alive, loved you and had a good relationship with you. This could be someone whom you had a good relationship like a grandfather or grandmother. While they were alive, they loved you, so even in death, they will still love you and want to protect you. So, you will have to choose the people who loved you while they were alive, and if any of them were rootworkers, that is even better for you for your spiritual work. Next, I have already spoken about both spiritual and ancestor altars, so I will not go over this again, but I will link to the article here. With all of the ancestors you have selected, you will need a white candle and a glass of water; these are things that you will use to interpret messages from your ancestors. 

First, with water, if you see bubbles in the water and it’s not sparkling water, then that is normally an indication that your spirits are there with you at your altar. Also, with your white candle for your ancestors, if you see that the flame is popping or flicking, they are giving you a message, and if this occurs while you have a candle for yourself or a client going and the flame pop, then your ancestors are trying to give you a message and from there can you use your divination tools to receive more instruction or message. Divination tools are great to use for all manner of spiritual communication. I will talk about using divination tools to understand the messages your ancestors are trying to tell you. Whether you use Chamalongos shells, tarot cards, playing cards, bones, or any other type of spiritual divination tool, you should use them to interpret the messages of your ancestors because they may have important information to tell you. I do this method with my tarot cards. I normally keep my cards on my ancestor altar, which helps because they are charging the cards with their energies. 

Also, this is not the only way to receive messages; you can also get messages from dreams. Something I was taught to do was, before I go to sleep, I call my ancestor or ancestors by name before going to sleep and ask them to come to me in a dream if something is bothering me or if I need to ask advice. Also, before bed, you can recite Psalm 23 before going to sleep to get instruction from your ancestors. Finally, the last method that I use to communicate with the ancestors is asking them for a sign. Normally, what I do is go to my altar, pray, and ask them for a sign. These signs can come in many different ways, but always make sure that if you get a sign, it is not something vague. How To Create A Spiritual Altar

Hello, in this article, I will describe how you can make your own spiritual altar. Spiritual altars are very important because, with them, this is an area where you will be doing your spiritual work, calling on your spirits/ancestors, and to have a place for you to make the magic happen. 

So you know what the basics are with a spiritual altar, but here are some tips on how to get started with preparing the altar, so you can start working. First, I need to differentiate between two different things. There are many different types of altars, ancestral altars, spiritual altars, personal altars, money altars, love altars, etc, so there are many different types of altars. In this article, I will specifically be talking about spiritual altars. This is whether you practice Hoodoo, Wicca, or any other type of spiritual practice, you will be able to connect with your spirits, ancestors, or deities whom you work with, and this will be an area where you will be able to reach out to them and increase the focus and power of your work. 

First, what you want is an altar; this can be a TV dinner stand, or it could be something as elaborate as a dresser stand. You get your stand, and then what you do is get a white tablecloth, which will cover up the stand. The white cloth is important because white is a good color to bring in positive energies, and it represents purity. The next thing you want to do is cleanse the altar that you will be using. You can cleanse your altar with Florida water, holy water, rainwater, or even incense. It is important to cleanse the altar because this is a sacred space and a place of elevated energy, so you always want to remember to cleanse the area. The next step is to add a glass of water, and you may ask why water? Water is the universal conduit, and water is the element used to give passage to spirits and ancestors being around. So, it is important to always have a fresh glass of water, and you want to change out the water every week for your spirits who will be there with you at the altar. 

The next step is to add the items/ images of the deities you will be working with. If you are working with a statue of Jesus, place it there; if you are using a statue of Santa Muerte, place it there, or a picture if you cannot afford a statue. Also, if you want to add pictures of your ancestor, then place their pictures there. The reason for putting these pictures there is that you want to make this a space for yourself as well for the spirits you are working with. This is also a place for them to come to. If you are working for yourself or a client, this will be a place for your spirits to always know that this is a place for them, too. The next step is to start working, whether you want to go to your altar to pray, meditate, or do your spiritual work, this is a perfect place for you to do these things.
